My heart is saddened with hearing of the passing of David Wilkerson-Founder of Teen Challenge and probably most famous for his book, "The Cross and the Switchblade" which was later made into a movie.
Mr. Wilkerson touched, and changed for the better, thousands upon thousands of lives. The world is a lesser place at his loss. Please pray for his wife who is in critical condition, and for his family at his loss, and the concern and worry for their mom/grandmother/etc.

I had a surprise visitor today...
Murphy stopped by for a visit….
Last night i tried to write and one thing after another kept coming up to keep me from it, until suddenly, it was 10, and i was out of steam.
Today- well, today I planned; but had a surprise visitor.
My kitchen sinks have plugged three times, my back toilet overflowed twice, one of my front toilets wont flush anymore, i plugged in my crock pot and it blew a breaker-, one that controls the Television, VCR/DVD player, the 150 gallon fish tank and my main refrigerator. *groan~. I went to reset the breaker, and it wont reset; it just keeps doing a miniature pop, shock, spark thing.
I took the crock pot- stocked with dinner - over to another plug and plugged (or tried) it in. Big pop, burst of flame, smoke, scorch marks on the counter. -*hmmm~
I've had some college, so, I drew a conclusion: the crock pots the problem; or, Was.(it's thoroughly dead now.) The school computer, the vita mix, the champion juicer, and the water filter, were all "off" with this second "minipolsion." I headed for the breaker box,-again- and winced when reaching to reset the breaker; my fingertips and nerves were already sore. This breaker stayed on. *Whew~ but, the computer took a hit. It's not reading something or other and isn't working.
I began hearing Yosemite Sam like blurbs in my head... (that can't be good, right?)
We went looking for extension cords to save the foods and the fish(es).
45 minutes later, all "vital" items are re-routed, my kitchen and living room are an extension cord obstacle course, and all my energy seems to have abandoned ship.
I'm contemplating a nap(which wont happen with 8 kids about)
Tranquilizer darts(for my boys), a calgon bubble bath, with some hot cran-apple tea and a good romance book are the stuffs of dreams right now.
*perk~ but i know where to find some duct tape!
*hehehe~
kittens, early mornings and...TMI
I bolted upright with the sound of tiny, piercing mews(is that even a word?), and stumbled out of the covers, bleary eyed and achey. -... for the tenth time. *sigh~
Our cat blessed us with kitten yesterday morning, during a bad thunderstorm. Two of the three babies were just about drown when we found them; so, it's been a long day and night.
My husband had to get up extra early to make the two hour "commute" to work this morning, and i had to get him ready.
So, here i am, in all my bleary-eyed, "morning clumsy" glory, in the dark at 4:30 am, getting all my undergarments back together, and on my person so i can get about the house and get husband and crew ready to go. I Finally locate my bra, flip it upside down, wrap it around, fasten the hooks , spin it back around and do that flip thing and get all tucked in.
I take two steps towards the bedroom door and something doesn't feel right. I kind of wiggle and tug, and then grab the door knob. Right as i'm pulling the door open, the "what's wrong" hits me.
I've put my bra on Over my shirt. !
I think i stood in the open doorway, hand still on the doorknob, for another full minute before the thought, "Yes, i should fix this before i go on." finally formed and registered.
(thank God none of the kids were up and saw it....)

Outside a dog, a book is man's best friend; inside a dog, it's too dark to read!- Mark Twain
